This has rather been a buzz for a few weeks now!
I first came to know about it when my brother in UK told me that shilpa is left to tears! and i was like ok she deserves it! WHat the heck she wants to be popular and she is getting 3 crores for all this, atleast much more than the other BIG BROTHER members!
But then later, the newspapers began to flash with her news over and again!
I remember seeing the first show on the net somewhere when there was a mercedes, parked in front of a hotel and then the camera focused on the foot, and i was like flabbergasted who the hell is wearing a saree only to know, it being shilpa shetty
Jealousy is everywhere, and the big brother contestants were jealous of her cuz, she being an INDIAN, her getting more money than any of them, and her being much much famous than any of the members!
Initially it was a pleasure for me to laugh when she cried on the show, but later it began to strike my mind
Those people arent just abusing her, its India they are abusing, and really it has been a disgrace
I mean India is a developing country and still they welcome people from across the globe
Be it a lower class country, be it anything but they have a sense of hospitality in them
And yes it isnt like it is that poor, Indians are much more intelligent than any other human specie in all respects
The point here is
She came to the show, she cooked chicken only to know that it has been overcooked and its gross, probably indians eat that and they are so skinny

And then they wouldnt take her name correctly
First "SPILA" then "THE INDIAN" and later "DOG"
And the above pic i dont find her beautiful, she is disgustingly ugly fugly duckling! Shilpa is much better then her
And then she comments about her "She is a dog! She makes my skin crawl"
The best part being shilpa wont Quit the show
She is fighting it even the british govt. is against the discrimination

The thing that makes me laugh is that reading today's newspaper it was that JADE(the ugly above) was invited to india for a Cleansing session GANDHIGIRI and stuff!
And then she said SORRY
thats pretty obvious but there is no guarantee that British people will keep mauling indians!
Indians have proven the fact! UK SUX! BRITISH SUX! they are mere cheaters and robbers
they stole indian heritage, they cant do anything on their own
Atleast india after its independence soared up from an ant in the world to a horse which is still running!!!
The other day i was talking with my brother about how UK sux! It usually snows there and its going to snow in February start ! Talk about Global warming duh!
And in delhi the minimum temp was like 2 degrees and in ladakh it was -16 degrees!!!

But a good movie I saw this afternoon - A fish called wanda and in that the brit guy himself says about whats all this phonny and show-off about Brit :)...if you have not seen it..watch it..its a comedy ;)
Now coming about the show...well things are getting solved with the apology and I guess now Miss Shetty is more famous than ever she thought and the money she will make or got must be more than she is promised :D...!

yeah i heard about this buzz over here in singapore too. a little of it. i guess its juz insecurity on their part. and between i personally think shilpa is a good looking lass.
But well.it somehow smell like racism from the other part. i don't think anyone for that matter deserves to be put down that way.

hmm..well a lot of controversy seems to be coming up with this Big brother show..wld have loved to watch the show....unfortunately its not being telecasted in HK!!...well do hope shilpa comed out a winner!
Shilpa is truly beautiful, talented, decent, smart and sensible. What kinda women cud stand that? Only the Shilpa-kind. That woman who said racist things abt Shilpa is a low-life who had no social skills. Forget her!

Anytime racism is involved it makes my skin crawl. The way some British people treat Indians is as vile as the way many whites treated blacks in the United States for a number of years. It still happens, but now it is frowned upon by the majority, at least in public.
Most people think I'm 100% European by ancestry, and they'd be mostly right. I'm also part Cherokee, however. There was a guy where I used to work that didn't know this and was saying bad things about American Indians. I turned to him and told him that I was part (American) Indian and I didn't want to hear that kind of talk. He had the audacity to say that since I didn't look Indian, I shouldn't go admitting it. I told him that I wasn't ashamed of who I was, but he should be ashamed of the way he was acting. Guess it worked--he never opened his big mouth about it again!
thatz it .. if it was Shilpa being insulted , we wouldnt have bothered so much , but here she's insulting India .....
when they insulted her w/ the accent thingie , she should've have retorted " u better learn to understand my accent coz soon we'll b ruling u" .. but she's clever ... she knew such a retort would kick her outta the show ....
so, finally she got what really matters ... qualify for the next round !
im not really keeping myself updated but from wht i learnt from the papers.. shilpa is going to the next round. thats a great news! :)

I heard the hooplah too..Read news articles...Rascism is rampant and sometimes it is brought to the surfaceand if so, those offenders muct be taken to task.

on a rather serious note...i can't help but think of deeper issue that is still prevelant in India...although we're all up against the racism shilpa (and many others face in the UK and any other country)...we still live in a society where ppl still want a "gori" (fair) bride for their sons...where beauty is defined a lot in terms of how fair a person is! where ppl won't touch the same tea cup that their maid drank tea from...where casteism still exists and inter caste marriages still face resistance...where we ridicule diff cultures wid terms as "bong", "chinks", "harry's" (bihar), etc etc....we may stand together in front of the world when we're targetted as Indians...but we're a hugely divided society, aren't we? That sadly is yet another fact...
*sigh* but Yes I am glad she won! Shut up a lot of ppl...and made a lot others sit up and debate this issue...
